Together, the two set out to find Caroline’s mum, but end up finding more about themselves along the way.
Set against the lush backdrop of the Caribbean, Callender captures the struggles of a young child in a society that does not accept them and their journey of self-discovery. This non-linear coming of age story is the perfect companion for any young reader that feels that they don’t fit in.
